![]() ![]() This section of the reading allowed me to change my perspective of privacy online and how this day in age allows us to gain opportunities that will benefit us in our personal lives. We meet people, make friends and stay connected. I liked the paragraph in the reading where Jarvis says, “We are sharing because it brings benefit. ![]() Before reading this article, I thought that privacy was an issue but then realized that the issue is people giving out too much information about themselves there needs to be a boundary of what kind of information is given out. I personally liked Jarvis’ piece because it made me view privacy online as a positive and beneficial gesture rather than a huge issue. Censorship disallows the public to be open. Within the short reading, he gives good examples that allows the reader to agree with his argument that being public online is not a bad thing because it allows us to stay connected in society. Jarvis displays his concern that the trend of being public online allows users to receive more opportunities that will be beneficial. His argument that privacy is not the issue is shown when he says, “It’s not privacy that concerns me now. In the reading “Get Over It,” Jeff Jarvis, the author, briefly discusses the panic about privacy within technology. ![]()
